Prudent, Aesthetic, Original

七月 | 土曜日

So I was browsing and I stumbled upon this site, thought I'd try it out. Nothing to do with this blog but whatever, I just want to post it here~ I think the results are somewhat accurate, why not try it yourself.

Prudent
You look before you leap, think before you act, consider what you're about to say before you open your mouth to speak; that's why you rarely have to eat your words. You usually don't get excited easily or blurt out the first thing that comes to mind without considering the consequences.

Aesthetic
You appreciate art, beauty, and design; you know that they are not superficial but absolutely crucial to living the good life. You have good taste, and you're proud of it. Those with a high score on the "aesthetic" trait are often employed in literary or artistic professions, enjoy domestic activities — doing things around the house — and are enthusiastic about the arts, reading, and travel. You don't think it's pretentious to be moved by art and beauty. You're not one of those who believe it doesn't matter what something looks like as long as it does its job.

Original
You are constantly coming up with new ideas. For you, the world as it exists is just a jumping-off place; what's going on inside your mind is often more interesting than what's going on outside.
You don't feel that the road to success is to be a realist and stick to the program; you never stop yourself from coming up with new ideas or telling the world what you're thinking about.

Centered
You often feel balanced and on top of things, even when those around you are freaking out. You're in a pretty good state all the time, and not subject to drastic mood swings.
You don't usually react before you think; you're not ruled by your emotions.

Innovative
You come up with a lot of ideas; if one doesn't work out, there's always another waiting in the wings. You often have interesting solutions to difficult problems. You're practically a one-person brainstorming session.
You are less interested changing the world than in dealing with things as they are. Unlike those who spend all their time trying to solve problems, you prefer to zero in on things that work and stick with them.

Introspective
You like your own company; you're a very interesting person. Tracking your own mental processes, knowing what you're thinking and why you do what you do, is important to you. Often, what's going on in your mind is more compelling than what's going on outside. For the most part, those with a high score on the "introspective" trait enjoy reading, taking long walks, learning new things, and other solitary activities. You are not someone who is constantly looking to be among a group of friends; you never feel bored when you are by yourself.

Calm
You rarely become irritated, generally accept people as they are, take things as they come, and feel relaxed in most situations. You do not let a minor annoyance escalate to a confrontation. You don't regularly snap at those around you or fly off the handle with little provocation.

Optimistic
You are a "glass half-full" kind of person, always on the lookout for the silver lining. Your happiness is contagious, which is why others like to be around you.You do not feel that the world is an intrinsically depressing place; you are not the kind of "realist" who thinks that only fools find joy in life.

Unflappable
You are not a slave to your emotions. It takes a lot to upset or unnerve you. That's why you're a good person to have around in a crisis. You don't let it all hang out, which means that those around you often don't know the pressures you're under or what you're going through. You're not the kind of person people run from in a crisis.

Intellectual
You are thoughtful, rational, and comfortable in the world of ideas. People find you interesting to talk to. You're the living embodiment of the saying "You learn something new every day." In general, those with a high score on the "intellectual" trait are employed in such fields as teaching and research, and are enthusiastic about reading, foreign films, and classical music. You do not avoid abstract conversation, experimenting with new ideas, or studying new things. It bores you to stick to the straight and narrow of what you already know.

Motivate

Fishtail plaits, fish braids -what ever you want to call it- are what I've been obssessing on lately. I've been wanting to do them on people's hair but I only manage to do them on my sisters hair.. I found the tutorial at tumblr

At first I couldn't understand the Fishtail Braid Technique" so it turned out wrong, wrong that it's worth a facepalm, well maybe considering people who are also trying out the braid for the first time. I think this is a definite favorite of mine~ I'm quite impressed on just how it looks. In my opinion it's a very complex but doable hairstyle that can suit any occasion.

I been browsing on RIDsnap more than ever simply because it's now one of my "daily to-do's"

First row
This look has somesort of clash between a mermaid-note the fish scale motif, I'll assume that's a dress with a spacey kinda feel and tie dye-watercolor style leggings which brings it all together. The shoes are familiar but I can't pull a name. I think it's Vivienne Westwood ✕ Melissa.. Please do correct me if I'm wrong. Sakura meet Ariel.

Simply put the bag is awesome~ I would like to make something like this but why not just buy it? If only I had the money..

Second row
I'm in love with her hair. This reminds me of korean fashion with ulzzangs very eye popping in this case the red hair and an edgy but with a casual rock-chick look.

I've always been fond of those shoes but I never got to own such pair.

I should do this every other post.

Speaking of which I need to motivate myself to post more. If I ever did, it might take me hours just to get it done because it takes me a while to think of something and in result of that you get me posting at around XX:XX in the morning. Although at times I will save it as a draft but that draft might never be posted because I will keep editing and editing, it's just not good enough.

Named

As I said in the post below specifically on my "to do" list, that I was going to come up with a new name for this blog and it resulted in Inferior to Fashion. How did I come up with it? Well to be honest I think of myself as inferior to fashion just because.

Sequences

七月 | 日曜日

This is a confession of a mediocre know-it-all, well not really. I just look up things that interest me, take the Columbine High School Massacre for instance which then led me to listening to Pumped Up Kicks by Foster the People and then thinking of dark-victorian-era-esque things. I have a really messed up mind don't I? Along with that sequence I came across this..

Now it takes me back to my sophmore year in high school which was only two years ago-ish, learning about Leonardo Da Vinci and how he wrote backwards in his Codex aswell as his ideas.. Probably one of my most favorite years so far but hey the best is yet to come right? At least that's what I heard anyway.Remembering that the Renaissance was the rebirth of art and literature I thought of the Dark ages -well only a visual image of what I think it would look like. This is closest results I could think of.

Having thought of the above, other things popped up out of nowhere..

Thank you tumblr and google for these images. Looking at these pictures they don't really suit the season of summer, I feel like this is more of an ending autumn-winter it's probably got to do something with the colors. Yet don't photographers shoot s/s collections in around atumn-winter and vice versa? Forgive me if I'm wrong afterall I'm a self-titled mediocre know-it-all

Since it's summer I'm posting a list of what I shall do in the month of June throughout August -before school starts and just to keep me doing something just for the sake of doing something.

" To do "

  • Post here more often
  • Post here more often
  • Come up with a new url for this blog
  • Try not to stay up the usual time..

“I wasn’t really asleep I was just meditating on unconsciousness.”
