Boredom caught up with me and this was born. I saw the sparkly blouse and it instantly made me think of a book I read recently, well not that recently. What I saw and how I lied by Judy Blundell. The whole 20's-50's glam just came and here it is..

So I recently saw this image of Kamijo, [vocalist of japanese visual kei band Versailles] and then it just hit me as to how I loved the whole genre of visual kei and of the lolita subculture. From the frills, lace, victorian influences of lolita fashion to the more dark, eerie yet elegant and daring of the visual style [by this I'm thinking of the Malice Mizer and old Dir En Grey days]; I must say that they definitely inspire me in the things I do. I feel that these two style's are unique and quite experimental [depending on how you perceive things], although if you have no idea whatsoever as to what I'm talking about, then I suggest you keep your mind open to these ideas of how people dress because there are people out there who take dressing in one of these styles seriously.

As of now there would probably be loaads of posts in relation how unique it is and all that jazz but I'm just here reminiscing on why I love what I love and keep on loving it. I think that it's best to remember how you got into something in the first place because that one thing could be life changing whether be it big or small.

Overall I like the way that both styles give you a sense of individualism because I find that these two styles are so not in the status quo of society[-well where I'm residing sure, although I'm not sure elsewhere..], and from firsthand experience I gained alot of stares and compliments by dressing up so. To be honest I don't really care because I don't think they can't pull it off or are just rather scared maybe?
