Gateway to the Future

十一月 | 土曜日

Well well well guess who decided to post something today?!

Today I went to the UCD (i.e University College of Dublin) open day.

I went with my friends Tola and Bianca and it was fun even though it was a bit awkward at first since well, it is Uni. and we're only fifth years but there's nothing wrong with planning ahead. The campus was filled with many students and future freshmen with their friends or their parents.. We had to travel by bus since fortunately the 17 went directly to Belfield (where it's situated) rather than taking the 77/77A to town and then get the 39A.

I was pleasently surprised that the journey didn't take that long or that the bus didn't take long to arrive at the bus stop. It took about an hour-ish but when you're with two other people it doesn't seem that long...

When we arrived as I said before, it was so awkward. Definitely a change of scenery in terms of school. It was so open spaced and buildings were usually a five minute walk away from each other. We were actually lost since we didn't know where to go! Tola decided it was best to go to reception, we asked various students but no one really seemed to have a definite answer. It was then when one kind girl, she was also attending the open day, gave us her map/booklet of the campus and was nice enough to show us the way to an "information center". Turns out we had to go back to where we entered.. The Quinn School of Business was the first place to start, apparently it didn't have much information but the lady we were talking to gave us yet another set of directions and what do to and all that jazz. That event was taking place at the O'Reilly Hall.
The O'Reilly Hall was filled with voices of many people. It was very crowded I felt really really claustrophobic since people were just strolling around and others getting past you.. I couldn't really breathe.. Aside from that it was interesting to talk to the people who were at the stalls. First we went to talk to a Business and Commerce or something like that because you see I actually want to be an accountant hahaha.. Well just because it pays :D and it seems that there's nothing that's solely for accounting so meh and apparently you needed these requirements :

Afterwards we went to a Medicine one because Bianca just wanted to see what they do there for that course. I'm glad I don't do any science subjects because my brain will just explode. I mean I don't fail at the subject it's just that it's too much and having a career in nursing, doctor anything to do with medicine, too common when you're filipino... Other photos..

Around 2:30pm-ish we went back to town and visited a discount jewellery store, book shop and then went home, well Tola and Bianca since they had other errands. Now that I was left on my own I decided to go to Kiwi this uber cute Hello Kitty and anything cute store in Grafton Street specifically Westbury Mall. Since I was waiting for my mom why not? I had some spare time.. Before I get into what I bought, which wasn't much really, after the purchase they give you a really cute simplistic pull string bag.

Now what I bought was a lip gloss and nail polish from Skin Food, which is a Korean cosmetics brand.

I haven't tried them out yet but I'm sure they'll be great quality products :) Anywho I'll leave this blog post with other photos

Random leaflet things I took ; If I do end up in UCD I'll also study Japanese!

Karl Lagerfeld for Impluse at Macy's

八月 | 木曜日

So Karl Lagerfeld now has a collection for Macy's!! Unfortunately I don't live in the US of A so when August 31st flies by I can't actually see the clothes for myself but fear not for there is International shopping! I find it handy since there's no way that I'll be going to America YET.

Aside from my small predicament it's said that it's a 45 piece collection with prices from $50 - $170 and the collection includes a range of chich, flirty, floral, feminine dresses, some really rad t-shirts, shorts and vests.. Here's some of my favorites.
